When choosing a CPA offer, you need to make sure that you select an offer that has a DEMANDING MARKET for it.
You will be wasting your time if you were throwing up multiple CPA campaigns without measuring the market demand first.
So how do you find a CPA market that has huge demand?
What you need to do is look at the search volume statistics for the most relevant keywords related to the particular CPA offer.
A simple way you can see the search volumes for related keywords is by using Google’s free keyword tool:
https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
e.g
If I wanted to promote a “Free Final Fantasy XIII” CPA offer, I would type in final fantasy into the keyword tool to find out how many times that particular keyword is getting searched per month.
I have found that the keyword “final fantasy” gets over 1.8 million searches a month globally. So in this case you know that this market has demand and that you can get good traffic from it.
Obviously if you entered the main keywords for a CPA offer into the keyword tool and you found that it was not getting enough search volume, you know that the keyword and CPA offer would not have enough exposure in the market to be profitable.
Another way to determine if a market has demand is by using Google insights:
Google Insights for Search.
Now personally I use this tool all the time when selecting a CPA offer and market to promote because it allows you to compare search volume patterns across specific regions, categories, and time frames.
Now the reason why Google insights is a brilliant tool is because when choosing a CPA offer a lot of the times the offer will only allow traffic (people/ customers) from certain countries.
e.g.
This screenshot is from MaxBounty, and as you can see for the “free final fantasy offer” they state the countries allowed are “United States”. So only people from the United States are allowed to complete this offer.
Now using Google trends you can specify the search volumes from certain countries. In the screenshot below you can see I entered the keyword phrase “final fantasy xiii” as this was targeted to the CPA offer and then selected “United States” for the country. This allowed me to find the search volume statistics for this keyword phrase just in the US.
As you can see currently this search term in the US is hot as it is around 90. (Click on the “learn what these numbers mean” button to understand what the numbers mean, lol).
The graph also provides valuable yearly information, showing if certain keyword searches peaked in specific years. Also this tool provides you with information such as “other top searches” and “rising searches” in this country.
You can see how this tool can benefit you when choosing a CPA offer, especially ones that are targeted to certain countries only.
Google trends is another research tool which is great to find current hot topics and hot searches which you could capitalise on, like I did with the apple ipad. (see my post My 1 HOT CPA Method that banked me $560 in 24 hours! For more details)
Once you have found a CPA offer and a market that has demand, you then need to check the competition. If your planning to do SEO for a webpage or landing page for your CPA offer you need to check how many other competing websites are out there, and if it is realistically possible to rank on page number one for a particular keyword.
In this example I used the Google keyword tool and entered final fantasy xiii. The term “final fantasy xiii” gets searched 1.2 million times a month, so we know it is a good market with good traffic.
To check the competition for this keyword phrase I would head over to Google and type in “final fantasy xiii” with the quotes. This would bring up websites that use this phrase, there are 94 million webpage’s, way way too much competition if you planning to do SEO.
So the key is to find another keyword phrase related to the CPA offer that has less competition. You can see that Google keyword tool provides many other related search terms so you just need to scroll down the list to find a good keyword phrase, or alter your entered phrase for different keywords.
Above you can see I found the phrase “final fantasy xiii ps3 release date” which has 8,100 searches a month I head over to Google and type in “final fantasy xiii ps3 release date” with the quotes and find there are only 10,900 websites.
Now to find a keyword phrase that has over 8k searches a month and only 10k competing websites is really good.
e.g. If I was to create a website targeting the keyword “final fantasy xiii ps3 release date” and ranked on page number 1 for this term, I would be getting decent amount of traffic to my website where I could display my “free final fantasy xiii CPA offer”.
This example of the final fantasy offer with this keyword I originally chose for demonstration purposes but it seems I have actually found a pretty good keyword phrase that has high searches and low competition.
The next key to CPA success is to TEST, TEST and TEST your campaigns to see if they are profitable.
Basically an opportunity arises when you can find a highly searched keyword that has low competition that is related to the CPA offer.
Even if you find a CPA offer that has good market demand but has very high competition, this is not necessarily a bad thing. This means that these keywords are in demand and the people who are competing in this market are making money. So if your means of promotion and traffic generation is not in SEO and it is in PPC for example there is no reason why you can’t compete with the big boys.
I hope you found these strategies useful. Remember use this as a guide for selecting the best CPA offers and MARKET to promote.

Guidelines to Choosing the Best CPA Offers
Author: Francis M RSS Views: 46 PRINT ASK ABOUT THIS ARTICLE
There are hundreds of Click Per Action (CPA) networks all over the internet giving different offers. When you enter CPA marketing for the first time, you encounter those different types of offers and end up being confused as it becomes very difficult to determine what all the different offers are, let alone choosing the ones that are best for you. That is where you need some guide to choose the best for promotion.
The following are the three common types of CPA offers you will find in nearly all the portfolios of any CPA network: free-trial offers, zip-submit offers, and e-mail-submit offers. The major differences are normally in the payouts offered to marketers.
First, the free-trial offers. These are the most popular CPA offers of all among both advertisers (vendors) and marketers (affiliates) who promote them. The reason is simple as you may have rightly guessed: these free trial offers are mostly given completely free of charge to the customer, except for a small fee of about $1.95 to cover the cost of shipping and handling. The customers get the product they want at the lowest possible price, and in return, the advertiser gets a valuable lead.
But how does this benefit you the marketer? Although these offers are free, or nearly free, often times, many companies are prepared to pay out big commissions of up to as much as $20-$100 per single lead to the marketer. The simple reason is that the customer is bound to continue after the free offer period expires; that is, by accepting the free offer trial, the customer is essentially agreeing to be paying a litle more for the product after the free trial period is over and often that is done through a monthly auto-ship program. In essense, therefore, the company recovers the cost of the free products by charging a little more after the free trial period.
As a marketer, your challenge here is delivering the lead for the customer to the landing web page of the advertiser, as keeping that customer is the duty of the advertiser himself. What that means is that you are given a high commission on an offer that is very easy to convert, but your only big job is getting and leading the customer to the landing page of the company’s website. So there is a reason for which free-trial offers are popular.
Secondly, there is the “zip submit” offers. In this type of offers, the only thing visitors have to do is to enter and submit their zip code. Once they have done that, you get paid. The company running the promotion has its own way of making money from the customer on the other end, but you as the CPA marketer are paid just for having the customer enter and submit their zip code. It has to be said, though, that these type of offers generally pay very low – you might get as little as between 75 cents and $1 for one zip code submitted. However, the rate of conversions is very good and if you can drive as much traffic as you can to them, even the little you get per zip code can add up to big amounts of money. And most of the work is without much effort.
The third and last in this article is similar to the one above and is called the “e-mail submit." As in the "zip submit," the only thing the visitors have to do on arrival is to enter and submit their e-mail address and then you get paid. However, like in the zip-submit, the payouts can be a little low, but you can always make up for that in the volume of traffic driven to that site.
